About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Toolroom Technician to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a key member of our Toolroom department, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of various CNC Machines.

Your Responsibilities

  • Programming and setup of wire EDM machines and programming of CNC milling centers by preparing various materials from drawings.
  • Perform PM's and repairs to Co-Extrusion dies and machines as required.
  • Verify conformance of components or tooling to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances, and alignments, consistently working to close tolerances.
  • Operate a variety of machine tools to cut, mill, and grind or otherwise machine work pieces to prescribed dimensions and finish.
  • Promote and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, safe operating procedures, good housekeeping practices, and the observance of protective equipment requirements at all times.
  • Any other reasonable duty required by Management.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience, preferably in a tooling environment.
  • Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Extrusion related tool and die making experience is preferred, as well as a Licensed Toolmaker or completion of college level CNC and Wire EDM Programming.
