About the Role:

As a key member of the Graystone Strata Care Ltd. team, the Carpentry Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials with precision and care.
  • Measure weights to prepare for rigging and hoisting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections to guarantee the safety and quality of our work.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades with ease and precision.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt with attention to detail and quality.
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, ensuring a seamless process.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs with precision and care.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications, guaranteeing a high-quality finish.
  • Perform routine maintenance work to ensure the longevity of our equipment and facilities.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
