About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join our team at Capgemini. As a key member of our R&D department, you will work on one of the world's largest social media platforms, handling millions of users daily.

Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the design, research, and development of innovative solutions for existing technical challenges. This includes building complex visual processing applications using Android SDK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop functional and design specifications for assigned tasks and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure approval.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by delivering projects within set deadlines and meeting quality objectives.
  • Estimate task durations and contribute to project planning to ensure successful execution.
  • Analyze alternative solutions and make informed decisions based on expertise and technical knowledge.
  • Report progress to Team Leads or Project Managers, highlighting any areas that require attention.
  • Provide training and support to team members on general product architecture and assigned areas of responsibility.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A university degree or equivalent experience in Computer Related Sciences or a similar field.
  • No less than 5 years of experience in developing Android apps in a production environment.
  • Expertise in Kotlin programming language.
  • Knowledge of Android architecture paradigms.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and best practices for testing.
  • Passion for the Android platform and dedication to upholding high code quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 CAD, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including health, welfare, retirement, and paid time off.
