We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medication dispensing and processing.
Key Responsibilities- Process medication orders and verify prescriptions for completeness and authenticity
- Prepare, process, and compound prescriptions according to established protocols
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions
- Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
- Enter and maintain accurate drug and personal health information in the Pharmacy information system
- Grade 12 and graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current practicing registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
