Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Bombay Bistro/2576256 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate special events and ensure seamless execution of menus and services.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining inventory levels and adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to menu specifications and presentation standards.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring accurate labeling and safe handling.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring timely execution and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Requirements
    • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with a focus on culinary arts or a related field.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
    • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 kg.
    • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
    • A 35-hour workweek, with overtime required to meet business demands.
