Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Developer to join our agile development team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing various software components.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software design principles, as well as experience working with Agile methodologies. They will be responsible for collaborating closely with our delivery and sales teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions to both new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in scrums, agile ceremonies, meetings, technical discussions/design sessions, and workshops led by the Delivery Lead.
  • Translate user stories into technical designs and prototypes.
  • Build applications, shared components, databases, APIs, and other technical solutions to meet end-user needs and support business processes.
  • Troubleshoot and identify issues throughout the delivery lifecycle and ongoing refactoring to improve code quality.
  • Identify and implement test automation at the appropriate level for functionality being delivered.
  • Conduct software demos to team members and stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress and identify risks, impediments, and dependencies.
  • Participate in peer code review and provide knowledge transfer to other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC.
  • Proficiency in using Visual Studio 2022 or later for development and debugging purposes.
  • Experience with SQL databases and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework).
  • DevOps ways of working and supporting technology such as git, GitHub/GitLab, Continuous Integration servers, and static or dynamic code analysis.
  • Building APIs and integrating systems designed using RESTful web services.
  • Development in container environments, preferably in OpenShift (or any container platform).
  • Agile methodologies - Scrum and Kanban and working in teams of mixed disciplines.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative, and be resourceful in problem-solving or proposing viable options and solutions.
  • Experience working with Public Sector software projects.
  • Always improving your skills and knowledge: you want to be the best at what you do.
  • Curious and creative; comfortable taking on new problems and challenges.
  • A self-starter with the ability to recommend priorities to the project leader.
  • Comfortable working through problems and figuring things out with minimal supervision.
