Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Trillium Health Partners. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will provide excellent patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for patients within an interprofessional environment, including assessment, treatment, teaching, and education.
- Teach and coach patients and families to promote healthy behaviors and self-care.
- Commit to a healthy, safe, and respectful workplace.
- Practice in compliance with provincial legislation, hospital policies, and procedures, as well as professional regulatory standards and best practices within the nursing profession.
- Maintain professional competence by completing regular professional development, including annual training and education as indicated.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a recognized college or school of nursing or equivalent.
- Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or currently meet the eligibility criteria to register in good standing in the Temporary Class or General Class with the CNO.
- Able to function to the full scope of practice as per CNO.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Experience with administration of medication, IV therapy, and other relevant skills.
- Computer skills, including typing, sending, and receiving email, and working with Microsoft applications.
