About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President to lead our Cyber Risk Management team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and profitability in the Cyber and Professional Liability segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwriting: Operate within the Cyber and Professional Liability best practices and underwriting guidelines to produce new business and provide operational excellence to our brokers and clients.
  • Budget Management/Sales & Distribution: Assist in the budgeting process and help the team achieve the Cyber and Professional Liability budget and profitability goals by implementing an effective underwriting process.
  • People Management: Lead an underwriting team to drive profitable underwriting results, mentor and train staff, and promote a team culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and learning.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in underwriting within the Cyber and Professional Liability segment.
  • Prior management experience is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to deliver difficult messages while influencing positive outcomes.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work for yourself and others.
  • Proven ability to network and build relationships.
  • Organized, highly motivated, self-starter who takes responsibility for own performance and demonstrates leadership in their approach to work, training, and knowledge seeking.
  • General understanding and awareness of people's behaviors, their complexities, and how to deal with them.
  • CIP/FCIP/CRM designation is considered an asset.
