The Corporation of The Municipality Of Central Elgin is seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that showcases our municipality's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a communications strategy that aligns with the municipality's goals and objectives
  • Manage and respond to multiple projects that impact the organization and enhance our reputation
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on communications and issues management
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including media, community groups, and employees
  • Coordinate all internal and external communications, including media relations, brand marketing, and executive-level strategic counsel
Requirements
  • University degree or college diploma in communications, public relations, or a related field
  • At least five years of experience in communications leadership, including experience in issues management, crisis management, public relations, and media relations
  • Extensive experience in providing strategic advice to senior leaders
  • Excellent oral, written, and visual communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
