About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Application Engineer to join our team at Workday, Inc. As a key member of our software development team, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and deliver sophisticated software solutions that meet the needs of our global customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and design software enhancements to meet business requirements
  • Develop and implement software solutions using object-oriented design patterns and languages such as Java, Scala, or C#
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects
  • Design and develop metadata-driven software solutions that are easy to use and maintain
  • Write and maintain high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Develop and implement automated testing frameworks to ensure software quality
  • Mentor and learn from other team members through code reviews, knowledge shares, and hackathons
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or application development engineer
  • 3+ years of experience in object-oriented design and development languages such as Java, Scala, or C#
  • Experience building large-scale enterprise business applications, preferably in inventory management or cost accounting
  • Experience working with metadata-driven development environments and XML technologies
  • Understanding of automated testing and continuous integration
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and agile environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
