About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist with a strong background in bioanalytical methods for antibodies or proteins to join our Pharmacokinetics team at AbCellera. In this role, you will be based in the lab and have a great opportunity to help build out pharm-tox capabilities supporting lead antibody identification and progression into the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and running in vivo pharmacokinetics studies across a diverse portfolio of antibody development programs
- Generating pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data from biological samples to critically assess the promise of individual antibody programs
- Developing, qualifying, and implementing ligand binding assays for PK, TK, ADA, and PD support in various species and biological matrices
- Liaising with external CROs to execute in vivo studies and for generation and characterization of assay critical reagents
- Collaborating with teams across the company to solve problems, analyze, interpret, and communicate data
- Training and mentoring more junior scientists
- Growing your technical skill set and engaging in professional development
- Preparing and authoring materials to educate colleagues and communicate strategies, key findings, and implications
Requirements:
- Experience with pharmacokinetics analysis and interpretation, ideally in an industry setting, and a strong desire to learn and apply new lab techniques in a drug development setting
- A PhD in a relevant field or a MSc with at least 5 years of work experience in an industrial or academic wet lab environment
- Experience running pharmacokinetic studies and analyzing pharmacokinetic data, with a strong understanding of antibody structure and function
- Experience with non-compartmental and compartmental data analysis, and demonstrated expertise with assay qualification and process optimization
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team
- Experience working with LC-MS for the quantification of large molecules in biological samples is a plus
What We Offer:
AbCellera offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $88,000 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer equity, an annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution. You will have a $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits. Scientific and technical mentorship is a priority, and you'll find abundant teams and social groups to build community and connections across AbCellera.
About AbCellera:
AbCellera is a global company that discovers and develops antibody-based medicines to help people live longer, happier, and more productive lives. We are focused on bringing innovative medicines to patients, both by advancing our internal pipeline of programs and partnering with companies that have novel science or innovative technology.
