We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at SSS Services Inc. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Supervise and instruct apprentices and other workers.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the trade.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads.
