Surgical Services Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Services Nurse to join our team at West Parry Sound Health Centre in beautiful Georgian Bay. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leadership within the nursing units of our facility.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care and leadership within the nursing units of the Health Centre
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to surgical services
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Successful completion of a post-graduate peri-operating nursing course or equivalent experience
- Certification with the Canadian Nurses Association in peri-operative Nursing or prepared to complete
- Recent and relevant Operating Room and Post Anesthetic Care experience with demonstrated competency in all advanced nursing practices relevant to Operating Room nursing
- Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references
