Job Summary

Around The Clock Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for executing on-time service, responding to changing demand, anticipating and mitigating potential hurdles, and continually seeking opportunities to reduce transportation costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse and Dock Operations: Communicate, plan, and execute activities to maximize productivity of assets and fleet utilization, and attain scheduled pickup and delivery dates.
  • Shipment Review and Verification: Review shipment materials before distributions and review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Load Planning and Assignment: Plan and assign loads departing a distribution center, connecting at remote lots or rail yard locations to attain scheduled deliveries.
  • Special Shipping Arrangements: Make special shipping arrangements as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with team members and employees to ensure all requirements are understood prior to shipments being arranged.
  • Shipment Error Tracking and Correction: Track and correct shipment errors.
  • Customer Communication: Correspond with customers and report client requests.
  • Process Improvement: Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge and competence with Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Education and Experience: College degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or relevant field, and 2 – 5 years of experience in logistics management.
