Job Overview

CNA, a leading specialty insurer, is seeking an experienced Chief Marketing Officer to lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communication programs in Canada.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to drive demand for CNA products and segments while strengthening the brand as a leading specialty insurer.
  • Lead a dynamic team of marketing and communications professionals who deliver a range of services to internal business functions, Commercial and Specialty business units, and geographical field network.
  • Implement global CNA brand and marketing strategies to deliver on business objectives, working closely with the Global marketing function.
Marketing Leadership
  • Create and execute an overall marketing and communications vision, strategy, and plan to achieve CNA corporate goals.
  • Develop and run a clear and consistent marketing service proposition that supports Canadian team requirements.
  • Manage an effective marketing and communications function, developing and enhancing capability and talent in equal measure.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top marketing talent to create a high-performing team.
  • Maintain robust KPIs to measure marketing/communications activity effectiveness and demonstrate ROI.
Marketing Strategy
  • Develop and oversee delivery of a corporate communications strategy to build the organization's brand and reputation internally and externally.
  • Ensure brand integrity and promotion across all channels, internal and external.
  • Promote position as industry thought leader through integrated campaigns including collateral, digital, social media, events, and advertising/public relations.
  • Effectively utilize suitable channels and creative methodologies to deliver successful results, leveraging global resources as necessary.
  • Foster thoughtful, innovative, and proactive internal communication across CNA Canada to inform, inspire, and motivate talent.
Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of theories and practices for product development, program management, direct mail/direct response, database, e-marketing, public relations, market research, and campaign development.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Marketo, or equivalent marketing automation programs, and other business-related software.
  • Bachelor's degree with master's preferred in a related discipline or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related marketing, communications, and PR experience in an insurance company or broker, with underwriting, sales, and distribution management experience considered an asset.
