We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicular Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality repair work on vehicles, adhering to dealership standards and factory regulations. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that our customers receive the best possible service and their vehicles are returned to them in excellent condition.

Responsibilities and Requirements

- Perform quality repair work on vehicles, adhering to dealership and factory standards
- Inspect and maintain vehicle fluids and maintenance-related parts
- Conduct routine service inspections and tests, completing standard maintenance jobs as required
- Road-test vehicles to ensure quality repair work was completed
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness during service or repairs
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations and standards
- Follow shop policies, procedures, safety rules, and environmental guidelines
- Assist in maintaining shop appearance and safety standards, ensuring efficient operation by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
- Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing
- Maintain an organized and neat shop area
- Communicate directly with service advisors regarding service work status and estimated completion time for customers' information
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions to stay informed about rapidly changing automotive technology
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- 1-2 years' experience preferred (dealership experience preferred)
- A-level Hyundai or Kia experience preferred
- Ability to replace and tear down engines
- Ability to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems, or engine performance preferred
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
- Safety and customer service oriented
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Self-motivated with solid work habits
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
