Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Fund Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our investment teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our funds.
Key Responsibilities- Daily Fund Administration: Settle, allocate, and reconcile daily trades and cash positions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and file various regulatory filings, including OSC, SEC, and CIMA submissions.
- Monthly Fund Valuation: Prepare draft fund valuations and approve final versions.
- Treasury Management and Accounts Payable: Prepare or check cash-flow projections for the company and its funds, compile, process, and maintain accounts payable records.
- Financial Reporting and Audit: Prepare financial statements and manage annual fund and corporate audits.
- Tax Preparation and Planning: Prepare or check taxable income calculations for the company and its funds, complete various tax forms as required.
- Investor Relations: Maintain investor information and relationships, prepare/edit investor and marketing communications, support investor subscriptions and redemptions.
- Service Provider Communications: Communicate with service providers, including prime brokers, brokers, fund administrators, auditors, and legal counsel as required.
- Education: CSC and/or CFA Level 1 or higher (desired), Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma, High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Qualifications: Solid accounting knowledge, previous experience in fund administration/bookkeeping, provide unofficial academic transcripts (uploaded when applying), provide aptitude test results (uploaded when applying).
- Skills: Problem-solving skills, logical and analytical, excellent communication skills (written and oral), proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, proficient in QuickBooks (desired), proficient in VBA and/or Python and/or Java (desired), social media and/or website development skills (desired).
*Salary range: $50,000 - $75,000 + potential performance bonus
