Job Description:
Patient Care Specialist
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions, maintaining pharmacy operations, and providing superior customer service. Key responsibilities include:
  • Greeting customers promptly and gathering prescription information according to Standards
  • Performing duties in priority according to Role assigned on Role Assignment Schedule
  • Referring clinical inquiries to pharmacists and accurately dispensing prescription medications
  • Managing cash registers and maintaining confidentiality and privacy requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education and Experience
To be successful in this role, you must be registered with the corresponding provincial licensing college and hold a diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College. Previous pharmacy experience is preferred, but not required. Strong organizational skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
