Accounting Technician Job Description

AB Complex Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to management.
  • Accounting Systems: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, including MS Excel and QuickBooks.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and QuickBooks; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
