Production Supervisor Job Description

Agropur is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for implementing selected PRIME innovation projects, ensuring flawless product industrialization transitions, and acting as an AOS Operational Line Lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate plant efforts to understand, install, and start-up new product introductions, leveraging plant AOS methodologies to deliver quality, on-time, and in the correct amount, safely.
  • Assist Innovation and Product Development in setting up trials, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate plant efforts to remove products from production, including materials and ingredients.
  • Rationalize active ingredient inventory in collaboration with Innovation and Product Development.
  • Accountable for plant deliverables, including line efficiencies and required volumes.
  • Lead by influence and excel in project management, communicating clearly with stakeholders and mobilizing people to drive change management.
  • Own incident RCA, acting quickly to define the course of action and drive the action plan until resolution.
  • Coach teams on Centerline execution and problem-solving skills, supporting safety initiatives and coordinating training and development.
  • Autonomous and able to develop own plan and priorities, creating and managing standards and standardized work.
  • Work toward achievement of KPIs, owning Department SOPs and Job Instructions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the food industry.
  • Proven track record of implementing multi-disciplinary development and innovation projects in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft programs.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and coaching skills, with a thorough and well-organized approach.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and knowledge of continuous improvement tools.
