We are seeking a casual educational assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals who are committed to supporting students with exceptional needs. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized plans for students, and provide support and accommodations to ensure their success.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting students with developmental delays and physical disabilities
- Implementing Behaviour Modification training and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention strategies
- Providing emotional support and guidance to students and staff
- Collaborating with teaching staff to design and deliver curriculum-based activities
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with children with special needs, along with a diploma in Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Care/Worker, or equivalent, is required. American Sign Language Level 3 certification is also necessary for this position.
