Data Modeler Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler to join our team at Saskatchewan Government Insurance. As a Data Modeler, you will play a crucial role in supporting business reporting and advanced analytics by providing expertise in translating business information requirements into comprehensive data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data models to support business reporting and advanced analytics
  • Collaborate with business and technology subject-matter experts to develop representative data models
  • Provide technical advice and support to Data Office, Systems, and management relating to data models and schemas
  • Ensure technical designs comply with architecture guiding principles
  • Review and participate in the testing and acceptance of data model design and mappings, tool infrastructure design, and data pipeline solutions
Requirements:
  • Experience with Guidewire, Mitchell, and CCX data model
  • In-depth experience with SAP Power Designer
  • Advanced knowledge of data modeling techniques with an understanding of data gathering, inspection, cleansing, and transformation
  • Advanced skill in using data modeling tools and approaches with an understanding of physical implementation issues, data strategies, design implications, and performance requirements
