About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Wilok Inc. as a Residential Caretaker. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from the premises.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained appearance.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to ensure efficient use of space.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the building's integrity.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a visually appealing environment.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure independence and self-motivation.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to the building.
Requirements
  • Criminal record check to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Valid driver's license to ensure safe transportation of equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) to ensure safe handling of equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance to ensure a strong understanding of maintenance procedures.
  • Experience with power tools and equipment to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  • Experience with cleaning and disinfecting to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
Language

The primary language of work is French.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is 37.5 hours per week to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
