Responsibilities and Requirements:

This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with special needs and be able to provide support with daily living tasks, behavior management, and medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support to students with varying needs
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as toileting and personal care
  • Implementing behavior management strategies and supporting students in developing pro-social skills
  • Providing medical assistance, including catheterization and tube feeding

Assets and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with Down's Syndrome or Autism
  • Related diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
