Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Non-Ferrous Metal Receiver with relevant experience for our Burlington facility. Under the guidance of the Site Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall upkeep of the site.

  • Receive, categorize, and organize various types of non-ferrous metals
  • Identify and classify the non-ferrous materials
  • Accurately weigh and document the materials
  • Conduct general maintenance of the site
  • Ensure all equipment is well-maintained
  • Enter data into the RECY system
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Assist with torch cutting as needed
  • Prepare shipments and handle equipment using a forklift as required
  • Maintain a safety-first approach at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating a forklift
  • Background in metal recycling
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Good physical condition
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Strong attendance and safety record.

Work Schedule

  • This is a permanent full-time position
  • 44 hours per week, with the possibility of extended hours or weekend work as necessary
