We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Order Picker at Giant Tiger. As an Order Picker, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and Unloading: Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment.
- Inventory Management: Sort and package fabricated parts onto a cart according to the subassembly list and deliver to the point of use in the plant.
- Quality Control: Check to ensure subassembly counts are correct and meet a visual quality inspection and report any discrepancies to the fabrication area.
- Pick and Pack: Pick orders and prepare for shipping, including stacking, wrapping, and crating products.
- Material Handling: Pick material from the warehouse for outbound orders and ensure they are high-quality materials being shipped.
- Inventory Accuracy: Confirm inventory transactions are complete.
- Facility Maintenance: Participate in the clean-up of the yard and facility.
- Operational Skills: Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklift trucks.
- Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Teamwork and Communication: Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Time Management: Time management skills.
