About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Professional - Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and supportive environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to admitted patients, prioritizing their physical and emotional needs
  • Practice in accordance with organizational values and standards, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Base practice on current evidence from nursing science and humanities, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work:

Our team works a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and rotating shifts, to ensure 24/7 coverage. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $55.91/hour.

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, ensuring you meet the necessary standards and requirements

  • Promotion of safe, competent patient care, prioritizing patient safety and well-being
  • Establishment of effective working relationships, building trust and respect with colleagues and patients

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills, enabling you to make informed decisions and solve complex problems
