Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our clinical team. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with clients to optimize their health and wellness. Your primary responsibility will be to assist supervising Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists in performing various components of treatment plans for clients in their homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervising Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists in performing various components of treatment plans for clients in their homes.
  • Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by supervising Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, and application of modalities (e.g., heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS).
  • Deliver dynamic, safe, and therapeutically beneficial treatment plans.
  • Maintain regular ongoing communication with supervising Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists regarding any changes or concerns about client status or treatment interventions.

Requirements:

  • A diploma in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant Studies (mandatory).
  • Knowledge of various clinical populations and treatment modalities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, pushing, lifting, and transferring using proper/safe body mechanics.
  • Availability to work flexible hours.
  • Vulnerable sector check (current).
