We are seeking an experienced and innovative Onsite Medical Representative to join our team at Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in providing medical support and promoting a healthy and safe work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first aid and medical support to employees, including triage, prompt treatment, and referral to outside medical providers as needed.
- Minimize the risk of injury to employees through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided to employees.
- Develop and implement first aid care plans for employees recovering from injuries, including self-care instructions and return-to-work strategies.
- Manage workers' compensation and return-to-work processes for employees with work-related injuries.
- Provide daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
- Engage with employees and managers to coach on observed at-risk work habits and promote a culture of safety and wellness.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment, including medical supply inventory management.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- Will be trained to teach First Aid/CPR/AED certification classes.
- Work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, as required.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- CPR course certification.
- Valid card evidencing successful completion of a first aid, CPR, and AED course from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or willingness to obtain it within four weeks of employment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Experience with workers' compensation.
- Experience and certification in teaching first-aid, CPR, and AED.
