Job Summary

Moose Trucking is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS systems, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Vehicle Maintenance

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Customer Service

Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike.

Logistics and Administration

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as receive and relay information to central dispatch.

Teamwork and Communication

Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Work Experience

1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.

Physical and Mental Demands

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and the capacity to perform repetitive tasks.

Personal Qualities

Flexibility, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.

Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. The language of work is English, and the job involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
