We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our interdisciplinary team at West Parry Sound Health Centre. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting diagnostic laboratory tests, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform and interpret diagnostic laboratory tests, including blood, urine, and tissue analysis
- Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols
- Completion of a recognized General Medical Laboratory Technologist program
- Current active, practicing registration with CMLTO
- Previous experience in Laboratory Technology, with a strong background in general laboratory work
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and accurately
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals
- Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to laboratory programs
