Job Summary:

Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing rack-up, programming, verification, and inspection of fire alarm systems, access control, and intercom systems, as well as other fire protection equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm systems and equipment
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly
  • Provide technical support to customers and end-users
  • Develop and implement training programs for end-users
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements

Requirements and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Service Technician in the fire alarm industry
  • Electronics diploma or equivalent from an accredited college/university or documented trade qualification
  • Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or comparable qualification
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 70lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding
  • Valid and clean motor vehicle license (G License)
