About the Role

As a Heavy Goods Transportation Specialist at CANADA INC., you will play a critical part in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, working as part of a two-person team or convoy.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Obtain necessary permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes, guaranteeing compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections, maintaining the optimal condition of the truck, its tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other essential equipment.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and distance traveled, accurately recording this data for future reference.
  • Promptly address any issues that may arise during transportation, performing emergency roadside repairs and brake adjustments as needed.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle to ensure it remains safe and operational.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize overall fleet performance.
  • Effectively communicate with central dispatch, relaying information and receiving updates as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Possess a Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
Work Environment
