Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Iqaluit. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently scan, interpret, and produce quality images to aid the Radiologist in accurate and timely diagnosis of patients.
  • Act as a resource to nurses in the Community Health Centers and for Qikiqtani General Hospital's Obstetrical Team by attending weekly antenatal clinic rounds.
  • Utilize ultrasound equipment to independently produce and interpret high-quality sonographic images as required by the off-site Radiologist to complete accurate diagnosis of patients.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an accredited sonography program.
  • Current registration with Sonography Canada.
  • Two (2) years of sonography experience.
  • Annual certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).

The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English, and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages would be considered an asset.
