Transaction Services Manager Role

At KPMG in Canada, we're seeking a seasoned professional to join our Deal Advisory team as a Transaction Services Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with diverse clients, leveraging your expertise in financial due diligence, M&A transaction support, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

As a Transaction Services Manager, you'll be responsible for:
  1. Coordinating financial due diligence and providing M&A transaction support and advisory services to clients.
  2. Interpreting and analyzing information memoranda, business plans, and publicly available information on target businesses.
  3. Reviewing and analyzing historical trading, quality of earnings, cash flow, working capital, net debt, capital expenditure, forecasts, and underlying assumptions.
  4. Reviewing the adequacy of financing structure, including agreements and consideration of limits, terms, and covenants.
  5. Evaluating potential synergies and post-merger integration considerations.
  6. Reporting potential key issues for clients, including identification of risk or price factors impacting investment decisions.
  7. Reviewing sale and purchase agreements and financial models to reflect findings of the due diligence process.
  8. Developing, training, and coaching junior team members through challenging and meaningful opportunities.
  9. Delivering exceptional client service by maximizing results and driving high performance from people, while fostering collaboration across businesses and borders.
  10. Influencing clients, teams, and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing confident relationships as a representative of KPMG Deal Advisory.
  11. Understanding key objectives for clients and KPMG, and aligning people to them to set appropriate priorities and direction.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  1. A professional designation (CPA, CA); having begun the CBV or CFA is an asset.
  2. Ability to achieve government security clearance.
  3. 2+ years of transactional services experience and 5+ years of total experience in accounting and/or finance, including financial due diligence, M&A analysis, and report writing.
  4. Professional report writing and presentation skills to assist in preparing pitch documents, proposals, and presentations.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
  6. Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management and manage engagement teams and client deliverables.
  7. Experience with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations, and team leadership.
  8. Corporate development, financial modeling, and analytics experience is an asset.
  9. Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
  10. Business fluency in French to ensure communication with internal and external stakeholders.
