Job Summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled Field Mechanic to join our team in Fort McMurray. As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations
  • Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management
  • Work with an incredible team of people in a safety-focused environment

Requirements

  • Must have Alberta Journeyman or Red Seal in HET or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
  • Experience with construction equipment such as air compressors, generators, forklifts, elevated work platforms, light towers, etc.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving abstract
  • Related experience may include Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) trade

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
