The Role

We are seeking a talented UX/UI Design Lead to join our dynamic team. As a UX/UI Design Lead, you will be responsible for designing intuitive interfaces and seamless user experiences that enhance gameplay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for cross-platform video games.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with game designers, game product managers, artists, and developers to understand gameplay requirements and translate them into functional and visually appealing UI designs.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas, and conduct usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on UX/UI designs.
  • Analysis and Optimization: Analyze metrics in partnership with data and game product management teams to evaluate the effectiveness of your designs and make improvements to optimize engagement, conversion rates, and retention.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design for games, and integrate innovative solutions into projects.
  • Quality and Consistency: Ensure consistency across all aspects of the game's UI, maintaining a high standard of quality and coherence.
  • Project Management: Work within project timelines and milestones, delivering designs that meet both creative and technical requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role in the video game industry.
  • Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design work for games, demonstrating creativity, usability, and attention to detail.
  • Design Tools: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
  • Game Design Principles: Solid understanding of game design principles, including player psychology and interface ergonomics.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving project requirements, and excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts and rationale to team members.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Skills
  • 3D Game Engines: Experience with 3D game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and their UX/UI capabilities.
  • Animation Principles: Knowledge of animation principles and ability to create interactive prototypes.
  • Accessibility Standards: Familiarity with accessibility standards and practices in UX/UI design.
  • Gaming Industry Knowledge: Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of different gaming genres and player expectations.
