Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis, reconciliations, and ensure financial control and accurate internal and external reporting of all financial data
  • Contribute to the preparation of corporate financial statements, including working paper submission review and oversight
  • Establish budgets in the financial system and maintain budgetary control
  • Assist in the preparation of the Corporate Plan and Summaries
  • Conduct resource planning exercises and their presentation
  • Provide support and interpretation services as a subject matter expert on financial policies and guidelines, systems, and procedural support related to CMH financial operations
  • Provide counsel and advice to CMH employees on many aspects related to the field of finance

Requirements

  • Five years of combined relevant experience in financial planning, reporting, and budgeting
  • Experience in a Crown Corporation or Federal Government preferred
  • Knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS)
  • Knowledge of trends, developments, and professional standards specific to financial management, corporate accounting, quality assurance, and modern comptrollership
  • Education: Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce, or related field of study
