Job SummaryThe Cleaning and Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties within assigned Commission buildings, ensuring a clean and safe environment for tenants and staff. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities- Cleaning Duties: Performs cleaning duties within assigned buildings, including vacant dwellings, maintaining cleanliness of floors, carpets, walls, doors, furniture, smoke alarms, and dusting and sweeping areas.
- Maintenance Tasks: Moves Commission and tenant furniture and/or effects within a development, clears snow from doorways and walkways, applies ice melt product when required, operates cleaning janitorial equipment, and uses associated tools and cleaning materials.
- Additional Responsibilities: Changes light bulbs in buildings and unlit areas where no Building Manager is assigned or the Building Manager is off duty, and drives the Employer's vehicle when required.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent;
- Previous experience in cleaning and maintenance;
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines, handling multiple priorities simultaneously, and maintaining confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
