Paving Specialist

The salary for this position is negotiable and commensurate with experience, estimated around $45,000 per year in the Toronto area.

We are seeking an experienced concrete finisher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks including:

• Inspecting formwork, base materials, and steel reinforcement;
• Directly placing concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to specifications;
• Preparing tenders and quotations;
• Leveling top surface concrete according to depth and grade specifications;
• Imparting desired finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools;
• Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures;
• Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures;
• Estimating costs and materials;
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience;
• Excellent oral communication skills;
• Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team;
• Dependability and accuracy in your work.
