Job Description


This is a key role in our warehouse operations team, responsible for supporting the food and beverage warehouse at Abbotsford Centre before, during, and after events. As a Warehouse Lead, you will lead a team of Food Runners to ensure timely and efficient deployment of products, accurate inventory management, and excellent customer service.



Responsibilities



  • Ensure timely and efficient deployment of products to internal distribution points
  • Verify product received from vendors meets quality standards
  • Delegate daily workload to Food Runners
  • Assist with daily and monthly inventory records and perform audits when required
  • Contact vendors regarding product/delivery issues
  • Maintain departmental sanitation standards and ensure workspace is clean, safe, and organized
  • Perform administrative support for the department


Requirements and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Two years' experience in an arena, hotel, casino, or similar environment (an asset)
  • Ability to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays with varying start times
  • Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs
  • Previous experience working in a team lead or supervisory role
  • Proven time management skills and ability to establish priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Micros POS systems, and inventory database applications
  • Strong culinary product knowledge and administrative skills
