Roclou Holdings Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. You will also measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Additionally, you will build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Your tasks will also include erecting and installing scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms, and constructing and repairing wood or metal supports and structures. This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, with a work language of English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
  • Construct and repair wood or metal supports and structures

Requirements:

  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
