Part-Time French Teacher/Tutor

Seeking an enthusiastic and qualified part-time French teacher/tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Stoney Creek. As an Interactive Coach, you will play a pivotal role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem by providing personalized instruction and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students in grades 9-12, focusing on developing their French language skills
  • Work collaboratively with students to set achievable goals and track progress
  • Utilize our proprietary methodologies and philosophies to create a supportive and interactive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communication updates
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their language skills
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A strong background in spoken and written French and English, with the ability to instruct classes in French
  • A bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field, or fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

About the Position

This is a part-time position, requiring availability during after-school and evening hours (3:00pm - 8:15pm) as well as Saturday mornings (9:30am - 12:30pm). A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred, but continuing through the summer is also beneficial.
