This key role supports the production of high-quality furniture at Canadian Maple Home. The successful candidate will be responsible for making furniture and furniture parts by hand or using machines.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing on-site minor adjustments and repairs to furniture
  • Setting up and operating various finishing machines
  • Preparing, sanding, and trimming wooden furniture and fixture parts
  • Cleaning, polishing, and waxing furniture
  • Smoothing gouges with wood filler and sanding wood
  • Sanding metal furniture to prepare for finish and spraying with paint or other materials
  • Applying toners, highlights, glazes, or shaders to obtain desired finish
  • Reviewing blueprints and drawings

This job contributes to positive environmental outcomes and offers a permanent work term, 32-40 hours of work per week, and English as the primary work language.
