Job Title: Truck Driver

PASWAL TRANSPORT LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently from one location to another.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Load and unload goods
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and a strong attention to detail. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle heavy loads. The workload will be large, and you will be required to perform repetitive tasks. You will also be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and have good judgement, organizational skills, reliability, and be a team player.
