We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team as an Equipment Specialist. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and complex repairs on customer-owned equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of complex equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including electronic documentation of work orders.
- Upsell and demonstrate complex equipment to customers, highlighting its features and benefits.
- Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance of customer-owned equipment, ensuring that service vehicles are clean and professional.
- Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
- Must own tools applicable to the position.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
