Qualifications and Requirements

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will require a diploma in Radiology Technology and certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). You must also be eligible for membership with CAMRT and have a strong understanding of computed tomography and angiography procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography scans and angiography procedures with precision and accuracy
  • Operate medical imaging and patient information systems (HIS/RIS, PACS, Radnet) with ease
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
  • Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve shared goals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an acute hospital setting, including one year performing computed tomography
  • Knowledge of angiography and interventional procedures
  • Ability to keep abreast of technological developments in the field to ensure high standards of patient care
