About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Automation Intern to join our team at BBA Consultants. As an Automation Intern, you will participate in engineering and programming mandates in automation, instrumentation, and control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the production of deliverables for automation engineering projects.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and detailed engineering deliverables, including piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout drawings, and I/O loop and motor control diagrams.
  • Program PLCs, DCSs, and human-machine interfaces.
  • Participate in equipment commissioning and performance testing at client sites.
  • Assist in the development of technical data sheets and the selection of instruments and control valves.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automated production or electrical engineering in progress.
  • Interest or relevant experience in automation or instrumentation, including participation in the detailed engineering of a project in the mining or energy sectors.
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French).
  • Availability for short-term work assignments at client locations or sites.
