Bakery Team Member

Cindy's Your Independent Grocer # 1830 is seeking a skilled Bakery Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances and provide excellent customer service.
- Teamwork: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food and work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales and merchandising goals.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Physical Demands: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
