Mill Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Mill Manager to join our team at Harrop Procter Community Cooperative. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our mill, ensuring efficient production and quality control.

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet business objectives
• Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement
• Maintain inventory levels and prevent shortages
• Plan and organize daily operations to ensure smooth production
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend replacements
• Direct quality control inspections and implement corrective actions
• Hire, supervise, and train employees in new equipment and production techniques
• Organize and maintain inventory levels
• Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems, and methods of work
• Manage departmental budgets and supervise staff

• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Physical stamina to work in a physically demanding environment
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
